Meiko – Stuck on you…

Yay..!

Meiko, one of my fav. female artist, finally merilis secara resmi album terbarunya yang bertitel “The Bright Side” bulan mei ini..

Seneng rasanya mendengarkan lagu-lagunya kembali, apalagi lagunya yang terbaru di album ini…

Dan yah ekspektasi yang saya harapkan lumayan juga sih terwujud, Berbeda dengan album sebelumnya lagu yang ditulis dan diciptakan  Meiko sendiri di album ini lebih berkesan more cheerfull.. walaupun beberapa diantaranya adalah lagu bertema cinta dengan lirik yang sedikit sendu. Tapi sebenarnya tidak terlalu bermasalah sih, banyak terjadi perubahan dalam hal musikalitas yang ditampilkan Meiko di album ini, misalnya dengan mengkombinasikan komposisi instrumen elekronik seperti di lagu leave the lights on, lie to me dan beberapa lagu lainnya.

Intinya Meiko, telah bertransformasilah ceritanya..halah he2.. namun tidak serta merta merubah pencitraan dirinya secara drastis melalui lagu-lagunya di album baru ini, Meiko masih tetap Meiko yang dulu yang mempertahankan sisi keidealisannya dalam bermusik dan menciptakan lagu tapi dengan cara yang berbeda kali ini.

Di Album the bright side, secara keseluruhan tentu saja sebagai penggemar saya pasti menyukai lagu-lagunya he2.. saya paling suka lagu stuck on you..lagunya romantis dan terkesan sedikit retro, namun cukup sederhana dan mengena di hati saat pertama kali mendengarkannya.

Liriknya bagus, terutama di bagian ;

Well, saya cukup senang mendengarkan lagu terbarunya Meiko di album The bright side.
